Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian or Medical Director to join their team. This well-established practice has been serving its community since 1979 and is proud to be a Fear Free Certified hospital. The clinic cares for dogs and cats and provides a broad range of services, with a strong focus on wellness, surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing high-quality veterinary care across a wide range of services including wellness, surgery, urgent and emergency care, dentistry, and diagnostics. The hospital welcomes both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities. For experienced candidates, leadership and future ownership opportunities are available.
Practice Details
The hospital is Fear Free Certified and equipped with digital radiology, ultrasonography, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory capable of performing blood chemistry, urinalysis, electrolytes, fecal analysis, and more. Comprehensive services include preventive care, surgery (soft tissue and orthopedics), urgent and emergency care, dental care, senior pet care, microchipping, parasite prevention, laser therapy, nutritional counseling, and boarding. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with an emphasis on mentorship, growth, and patient-centered care.
Team
The hospital is home to three veterinarians supported by a skilled and dedicated team. The environment is team-oriented, supportive, and focused on professional development and collaboration.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
