Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in Janesville, Minnesota, seeking a veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for dogs, cats, and small mammals, offering wellness exams, immunizations, surgical care, behavioral medicine, and additional specialty services.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the first and third Saturdays of each month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The clinic is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with flexible hours and a focus on maintaining work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will provide high-quality clinical care across a variety of species while collaborating with other veterinarians, technicians, and client service staff. Clinical responsibilities include preventive care for puppies, kittens, and senior pets, behavioral medicine, internal medicine, diagnostics, surgery, ultrasound, pet nutrition, hospice and euthanasia, microchipping, and exotic pet services. The role is open to veterinarians seeking mentorship and opportunities to expand their skillset, supporting both experienced doctors and those earlier in their careers.
Practice Details
The hospital features a fully equipped surgical suite capable of most soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, supported by ECG and oxygen saturation monitors, heated surgery tables, monitored sterilization techniques, and intensive post-surgery care. Diagnostic services include radiology, ultrasound, and an on-site laboratory capable of routine and advanced testing, as well as blood pressure monitoring. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and high-quality patient care.
Team
The hospital has three DVMs supported by a team of experienced veterinary and technical nursing staff. The environment is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and encourages professional development while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
