Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its three-doctor team. The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, with the hospital providing a broad range of preventative, primary, and advanced veterinary care. The practice is also recognized as a Gold Level Feline Friendly Practice and incorporates Fear Free techniques and low-stress handling into patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse small animal caseload ranging from routine wellness and preventative care through internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, hospitalization, and surgery. Clinical opportunities include soft tissue and general surgery, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiology, pain management, geriatric medicine, acupuncture, management of canine and feline diabetes, and preventative healthcare. Doctors are supported in developing their individual veterinary interests and expanding their clinical skills. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome, with new graduates and current veterinary students having access to a structured six-month mentorship program with personalized support. Full-time doctors work four set weekdays with a rotating half-day Saturday, while part-time scheduling is also available.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the practice closed on Sundays. The facility is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, Tonopen, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, and cold laser therapy. Services include preventative and primary care, wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, internal medicine, dentistry, hospitalization, anesthesia, general and soft tissue surgery, routine spays and neuters, geriatric medicine, pain management, nutritional counseling, acupuncture, pet loss support, and management of chronic conditions including canine and feline diabetes. The hospital also offers grooming and boarding services. The practice is AAHA accredited and holds Gold Level Feline Friendly Practice recognition, with an emphasis on Fear Free techniques and low-stress handling. The hospital is involved with its local community, including partnerships with local animal shelters, and supports doctors in pursuing their individual clinical interests.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs working alongside experienced veterinary support staff. The environment emphasizes collaboration, high-quality compassionate medicine, professional development, and continued learning, with experienced veterinarians and skilled support staff available to provide clinical support. New graduates receive dedicated mentorship through a six-month program, while the wider team is encouraged to work collaboratively and continue developing their skills.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
