Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their established small animal practice in Annapolis. This Fear Free certified clinic focuses on preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, and basic soft tissue surgery. The team takes pride in its strong community ties, excellent clinical standards, and commitment to a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. The clinic is closed on Sundays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will focus on small animal preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, and basic soft tissue surgery. The role is open to students and new graduates, who will benefit from strong mentorship provided by experienced veterinarians with clinical strengths in wellness, dentistry, and surgery.
Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with in-house lab capabilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser. It operates in a beautiful, clean facility and maintains a Fear Free environment. The clinic is deeply rooted in the local community and fosters an excellent culture with low staff turnover and a strong emphasis on collaboration.
Team
The current team includes three DVMs and an experienced, skilled technician team. The lead technician has been practicing for 13 years and is highly proficient in anesthetic techniques and monitoring. The environment is mentorship-focused, supportive, and designed for professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
