Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal and exotics hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its team on a flexible full-time or part-time basis. The hospital has served its community for more than 50 years and is also Cat Friendly Certified and Fear Free-focused. The practice offers a diverse general practice caseload and a doctor-led environment where collaboration, high-quality patient care, and medical autonomy are valued.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload encompassing wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and urgent care. The practice offers dedicated surgery days three days per week, with appointments typically scheduled for 20–30+ minutes. Veterinarians can also develop special clinical interests, with support available for additional training and equipment. Both new graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome, with structured mentorship and hands-on support available. Scheduling is flexible and includes rotating Saturdays and built-in lunch breaks.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The facility features newly upgraded digital radiography and ultrasound, as well as a state-of-the-art surgical suite equipped with laser technology. The hospital is AAHA accredited, Cat Friendly Certified, and Fear Free-focused. Services include wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, urgent care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, chiropractic care, laser therapy, veterinary house calls, and end-of-life care. The practice has established referral relationships with surrounding clinics for advanced diagnostic workups.

Team
The hospital has five DVMs and a strong, long-tenured support team. The practice operates a three-doctor appointment schedule with dedicated surgery coverage each day. The doctor-led environment encourages collaborative case discussions and provides dedicated Lead DVM support, structured mentorship, and hands-on support for both new graduates and experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
