Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a full-service small animal practice with an existing loyal customer base. The hospital primarily sees cats and dogs, with occasional cases involving pocket pets, small mammals, and avian species, and would welcome a veterinarian with an interest in exotics to further expand their services.

Working Hours / Rota
This role is ideally full-time at 36–40 hours per week, with a 4-day schedule, although part-time options are considered with a minimum of 3 days. There are no weekends, emergencies, or on-call requirements, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Appointment times are structured with 30-minute wellness visits and 40-minute sick appointments.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves providing comprehensive care across wellness, surgery, dentistry, and general medicine within a supportive and collaborative environment. Surgeries are typically scheduled into full surgery days, though the practice is open to a non-surgical DVM. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with strong mentorship available, although some experience is preferred.

Practice Details
This is a full-service small animal hospital offering services including canine and feline wellness, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, behavior, and hospice and euthanasia care. The hospital is equipped with digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and in-house laboratory capabilities, and benefits from visiting internal medicine specialists with ultrasound equipment. The practice is Fear Free Certified and emphasizes high-quality, compassionate care, strong client relationships, and a supportive, well-organized work environment with a loyal client base.

Team
The hospital currently has 2 DVMs, including the owner, supported by 6 team members including technicians and assistants. The team is collaborative, mentoring-focused, and works cohesively to provide a positive and supportive workplace.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
