Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established small animal practice. Serving the community since 1977, this clinic provides care for dogs and cats and is known for its long-standing relationships with clients and its commitment to education and preventative care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and every other Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It is closed on Thursdays and Sundays. Emergency and after-hours care are referred to a local specialty and emergency center. The schedule is flexible to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide general medicine, surgery, wellness care, and client education. Responsibilities include dentistry, diagnostics, vaccinations, parasite prevention, behavioral medicine, and senior pet care. The role is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for those early in their careers.
Practice Details
The clinic is equipped with digital radiography, full dental services, general surgery suites, an in-house laboratory, and a fully stocked pharmacy. Services offered include wellness care, dental care, surgery, pain management, microchipping, nutritional counseling, hospice and euthanasia, and diagnostics. The clinic emphasizes preventive medicine and a personalized, client-focused approach.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
