Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join their established and progressive small animal practice. This facility provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, offering a wide range of medical, surgical, and dental services in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The position involves a four-day workweek with rotating Saturday shifts. There are no after-hours responsibilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing general medical, surgical, and dental care, with additional responsibilities including preventive care, laser therapy, diagnostics, ultrasonography, nutrition and weight management, dermatology, microchipping, and end-of-life care. Although experience is preferred, the role is suitable for all qualified applicants. There is the possibility of future leadership or partnership opportunities for the right candidate.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with EzyVet PIMS, Weave phone system, IDEXX in-house lab, digital full-body and dental radiography, ultrasound (cart and handheld), therapeutic laser, EKG, visiting cardiologist twice monthly, ScribbleVet AI for documentation and advanced imaging including x-ray and a fully equipped surgical suite. The recently renovated facility includes six modern exam rooms and a new isolation ward. Services offered include wellness care, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy, diagnostic testing, dermatology, nutrition counseling, and palliative care. The culture is collaborative, with regular staff meetings and team-building events to promote communication and strong relationships.
Team
The practice has four DVMs and a knowledgeable, credentialed support staff. The environment is supportive and respectful, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and shared decision-making.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
