Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned veterinary hospital seeking a Rehabilitation / Associate Veterinarian to join their team on a full-time basis. Providing care for dogs and cats (primarily dogs in the rehabilitation setting), this position offers the opportunity to work across two hospitals, with one dedicated specifically to rehabilitation and the other focused on general practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position offers flexibility to combine rehabilitation and general practice medicine based on your experience and interests. The proposed schedule consists of two days at each hospital, although the team is very open to discussing scheduling preferences and how the role is split between the two locations. They would also consider a full-time schedule at the rehabilitation practice as long as in the incoming veterinarian can provide a variety of services (rehabilitation, acupuncture, medical manipulation, herbal therapy, etc). They are also happy to consider someone looking to work exclusively in rehabilitation or exclusively in general practice. They are seeking an experienced veterinarian with rehabilitation experience or board certification in the ACVSMR. Mentorship can also be provided by the experienced rehabilitation veterinarians within the team and additional certifications may be supported financially for the right candidate.

Practice Details
The rehabilitation hospital is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Mondays and Thursdays, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays. Rehabilitation services include acupuncture, chiropractic care, electrical stimulation, hydrotherapy, manual therapy, medical massage, therapeutic laser, and therapeutic ultrasound, with plans to offer shock wave therapy and joint injections. The current rehabilitation facility is equipped with one underwater treadmills, two Class IV therapeutic lasers, therapeutic ultrasound, and non-slip flooring throughout. The hospital is also moving into a brand-new location in 2027 where another underwater treadmill will be added as well as digital radiology and eventually, shockwave and joint injections.

Team
The team consists of three DVMs, including very experienced rehabilitation veterinarians, alongside a fantastic team of support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
