Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Indian River, Michigan is seeking an Associate Veterinarian on a full or part-time basis, to join its team, with the opportunity specifically suited to an experienced veterinarian. The practice is focused exclusively on providing comprehensive small-animal veterinary care, combining General Practice medicine with diagnostics, surgery and additional medical services. The position provides the opportunity to manage a varied medical and surgical caseload with clinical autonomy, supported by an established paraprofessional team, internal specialty consultation and continued professional development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will maintain responsibility for their own cases, developing appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans and communicating clinical findings and recommendations effectively with clients. Veterinarians have access to internal specialty consultation support when managing more complex cases, alongside wider clinical resources designed to support high standards of patient care and continued clinical development. The position also provides opportunities for continued education, advanced training and future leadership development within a collaborative clinical environment.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services, alongside Urgent Care, Dentistry, Surgery, Dermatology, Senior Care, Pain Management and Behavioral Care. Diagnostic and clinical capabilities include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Tonometry, ECG and comprehensive Blood and Laboratory Testing, supporting the investigation and management of a broad range of medical presentations. Surgical care is supported by modern anesthetic protocols and advanced anesthetic monitoring equipment, with both Soft Tissue and Dental Surgery available within the practice. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital is supported by an established veterinary and paraprofessional team working collaboratively across appointments, diagnostics, procedures and ongoing patient care. Veterinarians have access to internal specialty consultation and wider clinical resources, providing additional support when investigating or managing more complex presentations while retaining responsibility for their own cases.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
