Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates. The hospital provides care for dogs, cats, and a full range of exotic patients, including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, mice, pocket pets, and reptiles.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for a full scope of general practice duties, including routine wellness care, diagnostics, and treatment across a diverse caseload. The role offers a balanced mix of clinical responsibilities and is suited to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. The position is designed to support a strong work-life balance, with a consistent four-day schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am–6pm), every other Saturday (8am–2pm), no on-call responsibilities, and time off on Sundays and all major holidays.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. It is well-equipped and offers a full scope of general practice services, including orthopedics and laser therapy. The practice provides a varied caseload within a supportive clinical environment.
Team
The team consists of four full-time DVMs who bring a wide range of experience and genuinely enjoy collaborating, sharing cases, and supporting one another’s growth. They are supported by five full-time RVTs along with additional support staff. Collectively, the team brings over 300 years of veterinary experience, fostering a highly collaborative and knowledgeable working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
