Introduction
Our client is a well-established hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their six-doctor team in Huntley, Illinois. This small animal general practice offers high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The hospital combines suburban convenience with rural charm and emphasizes mentorship and work-life balance.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This position offers a flexible schedule with no emergency or on-call responsibilities, allowing for extended lunch hours and a comfortable pace that supports work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide preventative, medical, and surgical care to companion animals. The role includes building long-term client relationships and delivering personalized, compassionate service. It is suited to individuals seeking a team-oriented practice with experienced colleagues and robust support. This opportunity is open to experienced Veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital features in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, a surgical suite, a pharmacy, and a supervised hospitalization area. Available services include wellness care, preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy, nutritional and behavioral counseling, pain management, patient monitoring under anesthesia, microchipping, and adoption support. The practice partners with local specialists for advanced cases, ensuring comprehensive care within a general practice setting.
Team
The practice is staffed by six DVMs and a skilled support team. The work environment is collaborative, with a culture that values mentorship and professional development.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
