Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital and emergency center hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The clinic operates as a hybrid GP and emergency facility, providing comprehensive care across wellness, advanced diagnostics, surgery, and emergency services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a part-time position with a regular daytime shift schedule and no on-call requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Responsibilities include providing general practice care such as wellness and preventative services, supporting hospitalized patients, performing routine and major soft tissue surgeries, and delivering complete dental care. The role also involves utilizing advanced diagnostics and therapies, collaborating with emergency and specialty teams, and maintaining strong client communication while delivering high-quality patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering wellness care, general medical services, and 24-hour emergency and critical care. It is equipped with advanced technology including an in-house laboratory, blood machines, digital radiology, dental radiology, high-definition CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser. Services include preventative care for dogs and cats, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostics, surgery, emergency care, hospice services, microchipping, and care for rabbits and small mammals, as well as access to specialty services such as cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, rehabilitation, and surgery through an affiliated center. The practice provides a collaborative environment with access to a wide range of expertise and resources.

Team
The team consists of 21 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, including over 20 licensed veterinary technicians, fostering a highly collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
