Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian on a full-time basis. The clinic provides care for cats and dogs and is seeking a veterinarian to join their team in delivering high-quality general practice services.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, including routine wellness care, surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. Veterinarians are currently averaging 34 hours per week of appointment time, with a set day off during the week and rotating Saturday shifts. There is no on-call requirement, and specific working hours can be discussed. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital operates six days a week, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. It is AAHA accredited and equipped with Digital X-Ray and Dental X-Ray, among other tools. The facility includes an in-house pharmacy and offers a wide range of services including cold laser therapy, radioactive iodine therapy, laser surgery, and a full scope of general practice services. The team is committed to using fear-free techniques whenever possible. The practice fosters a supportive and well-equipped environment to handle a varied caseload.
Team
The team consists of three seasoned veterinarians, each with over 20 years of experience. Veterinarians, technicians, and support staff are trained to the highest standards and possess thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines. The environment is supported by a strong and highly capable team of support staff, contributing to a collaborative and professional workplace.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
