Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital seeking to hire an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice sees cats and dogs and is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, including routine wellness care, surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian, with doctor hours open to discussion.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday, Wednesday to Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm, is closed on Tuesdays, and is open Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The practice is well-equipped to deliver high-quality medicine, featuring in-house CBC, chemistry and clotting capabilities, digital radiography, digital dental radiographs, in-house ultrasound, and cold laser therapy. The facility is designed to support a calm and stress-free environment, offering 30-minute appointments, gentle handling techniques, separate dog and cat areas, calming pheromones, and treats. The modern hospital includes a dedicated surgery suite with a heated table and specialized lighting, three exam rooms including a true isolation room with exterior access, as well as oxygen cages and drop-down lines throughout. The practice provides a full scope of general practice services.

Team
The team consists of one DVM supported by a well-trained support staff, contributing to a well-functioning clinical environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
