Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established hospital with two locations in Southern Louisiana, currently seeking Associate Veterinarians to join their dedicated and compassionate team. This full-service small animal clinic provides comprehensive care to cats and dogs, with a strong focus on individualized, high-quality medical services.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the clinic closed on Sundays. Flexible scheduling options are available, including full-time with benefits and part-time roles to suit individual needs.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The associate veterinarian will be responsible for a variety of clinical duties including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, intensive care, and end-of-life support. The role is open to experienced veterinarians with one to two years of practice or internship-equivalent experience. A passion for mentorship is also welcomed and encouraged.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and a dedicated surgical suite. Services offered include preventative care, internal medicine, intensive care, dental services, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and boarding. The team provides emergency support during regular business hours and prioritizes both comprehensive care and client communication.
Team
The team includes three DVMs supported by a collaborative and knowledgeable staff. The clinic promotes a culture of mentorship and patient-centered care, working closely with families to guide healthcare decisions and ensure the best outcomes for their pets.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
