Introduction
A 24-hour Emergency, referral and Specialty hospital in Holly Springs, North Carolina is seeking a full or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its established team. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats within a multidisciplinary clinical environment, combining General Practice capabilities with access to Emergency, Critical Care and Specialty services. The position provides the opportunity to manage a varied small animal caseload while working alongside experienced emergency clinicians, specialists and veterinary support professionals.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of GP responsibilities, including preventive and wellness care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining effective client communication and working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team. The hospital’s Emergency and Specialty capabilities provide additional clinical support for patients requiring more advanced investigation, treatment or multidisciplinary case management, while allowing the Associate Veterinarian to maintain responsibility for their own General Practice caseload.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides a broad scope of veterinary care, with Emergency and Critical Care alongside Specialty referral services available within the wider hospital environment. Specialty capabilities across the organisation include areas such as Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Neurology and Rehabilitation, providing access to additional expertise for complex cases. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Endoscopy, Laparoscopy and In-House Laboratory capabilities, supporting comprehensive diagnostic investigation and patient management.

Team
The hospital brings together Associate and Emergency Veterinarians, veterinary specialists and an experienced team of veterinary technicians, assistants and client service professionals. The multidisciplinary structure provides access to additional clinical expertise when managing more complex cases, alongside technical support for diagnostics, procedures and hospitalized patients. The position provides the opportunity to work collaboratively across different areas of veterinary medicine while continuing to develop clinical skills and experience within a well-supported hospital environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
