Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join a thriving, well-established small animal practice located in Vermont, within easy reach of a major metropolitan area. The clinic operates as a small animal general practice with some exotics and is supported by a well-established internal medicine service with a built-in referral caseload. With a loyal client base, strong referral relationships, and continued growth driven by nearby residential development, this role offers the opportunity to step into a busy, fully established caseload within a collaborative and quality-focused environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital offers extended weekday hours to support client access and workflow balance. Opening hours are Monday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload that includes wellness care, dentistry, advanced diagnostics, internal medicine cases, and complex case management. Daily responsibilities involve providing high-quality, patient-centered care, maintaining continuity of care with clients, and collaborating closely with referring veterinarians when appropriate. This role is intended for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about internal medicine, values long-term case follow-up, and is committed to delivering excellent clinical outcomes.

Practice Details
The hospital is known for its collaborative, supportive, and quality-driven culture. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house diagnostic capabilities, and cold laser therapy to support advanced medical care. Services offered include wellness care and exams, vaccinations, sick and injury visits, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, deworming, microchipping, pet surgery, advanced surgical services, and laser therapy.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a highly experienced and tenured support staff. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with strong technical assistance that allows veterinarians to focus on practicing high-quality medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
