Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This practice offers a supportive and collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time schedules, with weekend coverage required on Saturdays.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining animals to assess their health, diagnosing conditions, and delivering appropriate treatment. Duties include performing surgery, treating and dressing wounds, conducting vaccinations and disease testing, operating diagnostic equipment such as x-ray machines, prescribing medications, and advising pet owners on general care and treatment plans. The role requires a confident veterinarian with solid surgical experience who is comfortable performing routine procedures independently, while also working collaboratively with the wider team to provide high-quality care. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a range of services including wellness care, dental care, surgical services, pet boarding and daycare, acupuncture, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, and pharmacy. The practice emphasizes preventative care, with routine wellness exams forming a key part of maintaining patient health and early detection of medical issues.
Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
