Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Mixed Animal Veterinarian position. This role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and offers a diverse caseload consisting of approximately 50% cow/calf (including most area bison herds), 45% small animal, and 5% equine and small ruminant, with room to expand in these areas.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities across both large and small animal medicine. Daily duties include providing comprehensive veterinary care, which may encompass wellness exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, and general medical and surgical care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, offering flexibility in doctor hours, which are open to discussion.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am to 5pm, and Wednesday from 8:30am to 5pm, and is closed on weekends. The facility is state-of-the-art, built in 2016, and supports high-quality, progressive medicine. Small animal equipment includes in-house CBC/Chem with Sedivue, digital radiology, a double surgical suite, dental unit, gas anesthesia, and ultrasound. Large animal facilities feature hydraulic tilt-table chutes (Silencer and Foremost), a temperature-controlled indoor cattle facility, an electric hoist, equine stocks with a surgery suite, and portable hydraulic chutes for field work. The practice provides a full scope of general practice services alongside walk-in emergency and urgent care. It operates as a 100% haul-in facility for emergencies and individual animal care, ensuring access to equipment, support, and backup for more serious cases. On-call duties are shared evenly among full-time veterinarians and are supported by an assistant when possible.

Team
The team consists of 5 DVMs supported by long-tenured veterinary technicians and assistants, a full-time practice manager, and a dedicated inventory manager.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
