Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal general practice, which also sees some pocket pets. This is an AAHA-accredited hospital with Fear Free certified professionals, offering an opportunity for a veterinarian to work in a fast-paced, compassionate, and client-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The role can be full-time, part-time, or relief, with rotating Saturday coverage. Additional hours, including evenings or extended shifts, may be required depending on caseload.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing general medical care, surgery, and dentistry, alongside preventative care and client education. Clinical responsibilities include routine care, advanced dentistry, soft tissue surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care during operating hours. The position is open to experienced veterinarians, with mentorship available for new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and includes Fear Free certified professionals. It is equipped with in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasonography, and therapy laser technology. Services offered include wellness care, surgery, advanced dentistry, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, dermatology, emergency care during business hours, pain management, nutrition counseling, parasite prevention, senior care, and microchipping. The clinic emphasizes compassionate care, client education, and a high standard of medicine within a busy practice setting.
Team
The team consists of six DVMs supported by dedicated staff, creating a collaborative, supportive environment with a strong focus on mentorship and teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
