Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established hospital providing veterinary care for cats and dogs. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team and contribute to their high standard of patient care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and both full-time and part-time schedules can be accommodated.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This is a full-service general practice role where the Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for a variety of clinical duties, including wellness care, preventive medicine, diagnostics, and treatments. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital has a strong reputation with clients, local businesses, and referral clinics. They provide veterinary services exclusively to cats and dogs, while also offering boarding services. The facility is well-equipped with digital radiology, Storz endoscopic equipment, an ICU with heated cages and an oxygen cage, Sevoflurane, IM3 dental equipment with a dedicated dental table, and hydraulic lift tables. The hospital prides itself on keeping all equipment updated and in excellent working order. They provide both general practice and urgent care services in a well-equipped building.
Team
The hospital currently has four DVMs supported by a dedicated and skilled support team. The working environment is collaborative, with doctors regularly learning from one another and working together on challenging cases.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
