Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This role involves working with dogs and cats in a well-established small animal practice, delivering comprehensive care within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes a full range of general practice responsibilities, including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. Daily duties involve routine exams, managing medical cases, performing surgical procedures, and delivering preventative care services such as vaccinations and parasite control. The position is open to experienced veterinarians only and is suited to someone confident in providing high-quality, compassionate care while working closely with a supportive team.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Wednesday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The schedule is typically four days per week from 9:00am to 6:00pm with alternating Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm, and the last appointment of the day is at 5:30pm with no on-call requirements. The practice is AAHA-accredited and provides a wide range of services including preventative care, diagnostics, radiology, in-house laboratory testing, dentistry, surgery, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, pharmacy services, boarding, urgent care, and health and travel certificates. The hospital emphasizes high-quality, individualized patient care supported by strong clinical standards and a collaborative culture.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a tenured support staff, maintaining a 2-to-1 staff-to-doctor ratio and fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
