Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities while providing care for dogs and cats.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care including wellness exams, preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. Clinical duties include performing soft tissue surgeries such as spays and neuters, managing medical cases, and utilizing in-house diagnostic tools to support patient care. The role also involves strong client communication, maintaining accurate medical records, and working collaboratively within a supportive team environment. There is also an opportunity to expand services to include exotic species for candidates with the appropriate interest and skillset. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. It is an AAHA-accredited facility equipped with three exam rooms, a surgical suite, surgical laser, digital radiology including dental radiography, Doppler, ultrasound, and a user-friendly electronic medical records system. Services offered include laser and soft tissue surgery, acupuncture and herbal medicine, preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, weight management, allergy care, anesthesia, dental care, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, isolation, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, and in-house pharmacy support. The hospital emphasizes Fear Free techniques and low-stress handling, with access to local emergency clinics and referral hospitals for advanced care.

The hospital currently has 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, creating a close-knit, collaborative, and supportive environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
