Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Hamilton, New York. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. This AAHA-accredited small animal hospital combines modern veterinary medicine with a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. The practice offers a supportive environment where both experienced veterinarians and new graduates can develop their skills while delivering high-quality patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for canine and feline patients, including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and client education. Clinical responsibilities include allergy and itchy skin management, anesthesia, dental care, general surgery, soft tissue surgery, routine surgical procedures, spays and neuters, hospice care, and health certificate examinations. The role requires collaboration with the wider veterinary team while maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivering compassionate patient care. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with dedicated mentorship available for those looking to develop their clinical skills.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital is equipped with hands-free radiology technology, dental radiography, cautery equipment, an in-house laboratory, and radiology capabilities. The practice incorporates Fear Free principles and supports Fear Free accreditation or certification whenever possible. Services offered include allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, general surgery, health certificates, hospice care, routine surgeries, soft tissue surgery, spays and neuters, radiology, and in-house laboratory diagnostics. The hospital is also affiliated with the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Located in a small-town setting, the practice offers a welcoming atmosphere surrounded by natural scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities. Current hospital hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
