Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Haines City, Florida seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The team prides itself on a collaborative culture with a diverse range of medical and surgical cases. They are actively involved in the community, provide free veterinary care for the Haines City Police Department K-9 unit, and offer a supportive environment suitable for veterinarians with experience.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full or part-time position, and the role includes managing a caseload of surgeries and appointments during open hours.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves serving patients and clients with a relationship-based approach, collaborating with the clinical team and leadership, and growing relationships within both the practice and community. Responsibilities also include managing a varied caseload, performing surgeries, and conducting appointments. The position is suited to experienced veterinarians.
Practice Details
The hospital has been serving small and exotic animals in Polk County and Central Florida for more than 30 years. It is a busy multi-doctor practice equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, surgical laser, electronic medical records (Cornerstone), and in-house IDEXX blood machines. The clinic offers a loyal client base, a supportive working culture, and a wide range of services including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, anesthesia, dental care, emergency services, boarding, wound care, behavioral medicine, microchipping, nutritional counseling, parasite prevention, pain management, and more.

The practice has 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
