Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian to support comprehensive medical, dental, and surgical care across multiple locations in Western Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established small animal practice that prioritizes professionalism, empathy, and high-quality patient care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking a supportive and balanced clinical environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling and no on-call duties. Hospital opening hours are Monday and Wednesday from 8:00am to 6:30pm, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays. Four-day work weeks are supported, with built-in charting time, and part-time options are also available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide routine and advanced small animal care, including wellness examinations, diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, pain management, and end-of-life care. Clinical responsibilities also include preventative medicine such as vaccinations, parasite prevention, and senior pet care, as well as diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, and laboratory services. The role can be tailored for veterinarians who prefer limited or no surgical duties. This opportunity is well suited to new graduates seeking mentorship as well as experienced veterinarians looking to grow in a collaborative setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service small animal practice equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including in-house laboratory services, digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical facilities, anesthesia monitoring, pharmacy services, and cold laser therapy. The practice emphasizes preventative care alongside medical, surgical, and dental services, with a strong commitment to compassionate, client-focused care. Ongoing investment in equipment and openness to expanding clinical services support continued professional development and innovation.

Team
The veterinary team consists of six DVMs supported by a great and experienced support staff. The culture is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with an emphasis on teamwork, flexibility, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance for all clinicians.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
