Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. Located in Greenwood, AR, this community-focused practice has been serving local pets and farm animals since 1975. The clinic is currently undergoing renovations to expand from two to four exam rooms and is upgrading to state-of-the-art equipment to support continued growth and high-quality care.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM and on Saturday from 8:30AM to 12:00PM. It is closed on Sundays. The position is full-time and designed to support a healthy work-life balance, with no after-hours requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for comprehensive care including routine wellness, diagnostics, general surgery such as spay and neuter, dental care, radiology, wound treatment, and disease prevention. The position involves operating medical equipment and advising clients on treatment and preventive care. This opportunity is open to both new graduates seeking mentorship and experienced veterinarians looking for a diverse caseload in a supportive environment.
Practice Details
The clinic features a full in-house laboratory, digital x-ray capabilities, portable ultrasound, an in-house pharmacy, and modern anesthesia and dental equipment. Services offered include general surgery, dentistry, radiology, diagnostics, vaccinations, and lifetime care for both small animals and a small percentage of farm animals (95% small animal / 5% mixed). The current expansion reflects a commitment to advancing medical capabilities and enhancing patient care.
Team
The clinic is staffed by three DVMs and a team of experienced, friendly, and collaborative support staff. The team environment is highly supportive and mentoring-focused, promoting a positive culture and a professional, balanced work experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
