Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their veterinary team providing care for dogs and cats. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide clinical care in accordance with evidence-based medicine and professional standards of care. Responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and carrying out surgical and diagnostic procedures. The role also involves educating clients and the paraprofessional team, promoting preventative healthcare through wellness plans, and fostering collaboration across the veterinary and support teams. Clinical work includes procedures such as general soft tissue surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventative care services. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a range of veterinary services including physical exams, virtual exams, intestinal parasite exams, heartworm testing, leukemia and FIV testing, bloodwork, urinalysis, ear cytology, and skin cytology. Surgical services include amputation, biopsies, cystotomy, dental cleaning, enucleation, exploratory laparotomy, general soft tissue surgery, intestinal resection and anastomosis, and microchipping. Preventative care services include dog vaccinations such as rabies, bordetella, DAPP, influenza, Lyme, and leptospirosis, and cat vaccinations including rabies, FVRCP, and leukemia.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
