Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This multi-doctor practice provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs and is known for combining high-quality medicine with a supportive and collaborative team culture.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, and on Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. Doctors work full-time hours with a fair rotation of Saturdays and no after-hours or overnight responsibilities, ensuring an excellent work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for a broad range of clinical duties, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology, and surgery. Responsibilities also include educating clients, supporting the care team, and ensuring the highest standards of medical practice. This position is open to experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates who will benefit from mentorship and structured professional development.

The hospital is a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic imaging, laser therapy, and surgical suites. Comprehensive services include preventive health care, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, behavioral consultations, nutrition, boarding, grooming, senior pet care, and microchipping. The practice is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and the Guilford County Veterinary Medical Association, reflecting its commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine.
Team
The hospital is home to a team of seven veterinarians, supported by a highly skilled and compassionate support staff. The environment is collaborative, mentoring-focused, and dedicated to continuous growth, making it a welcoming workplace for both seasoned veterinarians and new graduates.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
