Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking a Large Animal Veterinarian to join their team. This is a full-time position working with large animals, primarily dairy cattle (97%) with some beef cases (3%). The practice focuses on production medicine and herd health, offering a collaborative and progressive environment with strong client relationships and opportunities for professional growth.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive large animal care with a focus on production medicine, including reproductive services, ultrasound work, and surgical procedures. Clinical responsibilities include herd health management, sick calls, preventative medicine, emergency care, and routine field surgeries such as Caesarean sections and displaced abomasum corrections. The role also involves records analysis and consulting with clients and industry professionals to support herd performance. Doctor hours follow a full-time schedule with emergency and on-call responsibilities. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The practice operates from a base in Goshen, Indiana, with veterinarians working primarily in the field. Equipment provided includes ultrasound, a stocked veterinary vehicle, and tools supporting diagnostics and herd management such as milk culture systems, blood chemistry equipment, autoclave, digital refractometer, VaDia pulsator testing, Dairy Comp 305, and PCdart. Services offered include reproductive management, preventative medicine, surgical services, sick calls, emergency care, and general consultation. The practice emphasizes progressive dairy production medicine, strong collaboration with clients and industry professionals, and ongoing expansion of services with encouragement for veterinarians to develop special interests.

Team
The team consists of six DVMs supported by four experienced office staff members, creating a collaborative and supportive environment focused on communication, teamwork, and delivering high-quality service to clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
