Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital providing veterinary care for cats and dogs and is looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital is proudly privately owned and would be open to introducing exotic cases if the incoming veterinarian has relevant experience.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for the full scope of general practice responsibilities. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Full-time doctors work four weekdays and one Saturday per month, while part-time scheduling is open to discussion.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of general practice services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Appointment lengths range from 20–40 minutes depending on the case. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8am–12pm and 1pm–5:30pm, and Saturdays from 8am–12pm. Equipment includes monitors, anesthesia equipment, in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, a dental unit, and digital X-ray. The facility has two exam rooms and a separate surgical suite.

Team
The team includes two DVMs and maintains a 2:1 support staff-to-doctor ratio at all times.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
