Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This established practice has been serving Glendale and nearby communities since 1976, providing care for cats, dogs, and rabbits while delivering high-quality medical services supported by knowledgeable staff.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing primary care services including allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dental X-rays, dentistry, DNA breed testing, ear checks, euthanasia services, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health certificates, health exams, hospitalization, in-house endoscopy, in-house laboratory work, in-house pharmacy use, procedures within the in-office surgical suite, isolation ward support, oxygen and transfusion therapy, pain management, radiology, routine surgeries, sevoflurane anesthesia, and spays and neuters. Advanced care services such as EKG, endoscopy, feline hyperthyroidism treatment, and OFA X-rays are available but are not required to be performed. The role is open to experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a large surgical suite, dental wet table, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, hands-free radiology, shared doctors’ office, grooming and boarding facilities, and acupuncture. The practice is Fear-Free accredited or has Fear Free Certified associates when possible. Services provided include primary care across a wide range of medical and surgical offerings, supported by a mission to deliver the best care and service to pets and their owners.

Team
The hospital has five DVMs and seven RVTs, along with additional knowledgeable support staff, creating a well-supported and collaborative working environment with plenty of support staff available.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
