Job Description
Introduction
A privately owned, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Glendale, Arizona is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team as a third doctor. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a genuinely non-corporate environment that prioritises culture, flexibility, and work-life balance, with the freedom to shape your clinical interests and grow within a supportive, well-established practice.
Working Hours / Rota
The practice operates Monday to Friday only with no weekends, no on-call, and no overnight patient care, offering a highly desirable schedule typically structured around 35–40 hours per week across four days, with flexibility to accommodate both full-time and part-time preferences.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care for cats and dogs across wellness, diagnostics, and medical case management, with the flexibility to tailor their caseload to their interests, whether that includes surgery, internal medicine, or other areas, within a relaxed, appointment-based environment focused on quality care and strong client relationships.
Practice Details
This well-equipped hospital offers advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities including digital radiography, dental radiology, in-house IDEXX laboratory, ultrasound, echocardiography, cold laser therapy, Imagyst diagnostics, and a full surgical suite, with an endoscope being introduced shortly, alongside a high staff-to-doctor ratio that allows veterinarians to focus on clinical work in a fear-free, low-stress environment with separate cat and dog areas and a strong emphasis on patient comfort.
Team
You will join a close-knit and supportive team of two veterinarians and a highly skilled support staff, within a positive, collaborative culture that values mentorship, open communication, and bringing in new ideas, making it an ideal environment for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
