Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice providing care for small animal patients and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Germantown, Maryland. This general medicine practice focuses on delivering high-quality primary care services while maintaining a strong commitment to compassionate medicine and client education. The practice is dedicated to helping pet owners make informed healthcare decisions and offers a supportive environment where veterinarians can practice exceptional medicine while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include conducting wellness and sick patient examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, educating clients on preventative healthcare, and collaborating closely with a skilled support team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Clinical exposure includes preventative medicine, vaccinations, surgery, diagnostic testing, urgent care, parasite prevention, and end-of-life care. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining high medical standards while contributing to the positive and collaborative culture of the practice. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The practice is focused on providing comprehensive primary care services for small animal patients. Services offered include pet wellness and sick examinations, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, spay and neuter procedures, blood testing, urine testing, fecal testing, diagnostic testing, urgent care with transfer to emergency facilities when required, and end-of-life care. The hospital emphasizes preventative medicine and client education while supporting veterinarians with a highly trained and compassionate team. The culture is centered around the belief that pets are family members and deserve the highest standard of care. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the practice is closed on weekends.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
