Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that provides care for cats and dogs and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is suited to veterinarians of all experience levels and offers the chance to contribute to a growing, modern practice. Since opening in 2021, the hospital has focused on preventative medicine supported by comprehensive medical, diagnostic, and surgical care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. The schedule for doctors is open to discussion, and the position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis depending on individual preference.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role encompasses the full scope of general practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry as relevant to daily caseloads. The hospital welcomes both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, providing an environment where clinical growth and development are supported. The ability to manage urgent care cases also forms part of the position, contributing to a varied and engaging workload.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped and built to support high-quality veterinary medicine with a full-service structure that allows the incoming veterinarian to focus on wellness and prevention while also offering testing and diagnostics, advanced care, and complex surgical procedures. The capacity to handle urgent care cases ensures clinically diverse days. The hospital is dedicated to providing comprehensive care tailored to the needs of the Georgetown community and maintains a strong focus on preventative medicine supported by robust medical, diagnostic, and surgical capabilities.

Team
The team includes two DVMs supported by a great team of support staff. The environment encourages collaboration and ensures clinicians are supported in delivering excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
