Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. This is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care and is seeking an additional veterinarian to join an established, multi-doctor team. The practice primarily sees companion animals and also provides care for exotic species.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian role focuses on delivering high-quality small animal medicine, including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, pain management, and client education. Daily responsibilities include building strong client relationships, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, communicating treatment plans, and collaborating closely with the wider veterinary and support team. The position is open to veterinarians committed to practicing high standards of medicine in a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The practice is an AAHA-accredited small animal clinic offering services such as wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, dental care, surgery, pain management, grooming, boarding, and exotic pet care. Facilities include an in-house laboratory capable of CBC, chemistry, cytology, fecal and urinalysis testing, as well as digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopic equipment. Surgical services range from routine to complex procedures and are supported by advanced monitoring and laser surgery capabilities. The caseload includes cats, dogs, and a variety of exotic species, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine and collaborative case management.

Team
The hospital is supported by a team of 8 DVMs working alongside a collaborative and supportive paraprofessional team, fostering an environment focused on teamwork, mentorship, and high standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
