Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. This full-service small animal practice provides care primarily for dogs and cats, with occasional pocket pets, and is focused on delivering high-quality medical and surgical care within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sunday. This is a part-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage a varied caseload including both appointments and surgical procedures during operating hours. Clinical responsibilities include routine and advanced surgeries such as spays and neuters, abdominal surgeries, mass removals, and eye and ear procedures. You will take a relationship-based approach to patient and client care, collaborate closely with the clinical team and leadership, and contribute to building strong relationships within the practice and local community. The role also involves supporting and encouraging the development of support staff. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This multi-doctor general practice operates from a well-equipped facility designed to support high-quality care. Equipment includes digital x-ray, therapy laser, IDEXX in-house blood and urine diagnostic equipment, complete dental equipment, and Cornerstone medical records. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including behavioral medicine, boarding, dental care, diagnostics and laboratory services, emergency pet services, end of life care, grooming, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, parasite prevention and control, spay and neuter procedures, surgery and anesthesia, vaccinations, wellness exams, wellness testing, and wound care. The practice fosters a close-knit, collaborative culture with a strong emphasis on teamwork, professional growth, and delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Team
The hospital has 2 DVMs supported by a strong and tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
