Introduction
An established veterinary hospital in Gastonia, North Carolina is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. Serving the local community since 1945, the hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care within a well-established General Practice environment, with additional walk-in, Urgent and Emergency Care capabilities. The hospital primarily provides care for dogs and cats, alongside rabbits, small mammals, birds and reptiles, offering the opportunity to work with a varied caseload within a long-standing community practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, diagnostic investigation, treatment planning, dentistry, surgery and ongoing medical management. The successful veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining effective client communication and working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team. The hospital’s walk-in model and Urgent and Emergency Care capabilities provide additional variety within the caseload, while allowing the Associate Veterinarian to maintain responsibility for the investigation, treatment and ongoing management of their patients.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services and can provide medicine and care for rabbits, reptiles and small mammals if wanted. An associated feline-exclusive clinic provides dedicated veterinary care for cats within a separate, dog-free environment, broadening the overall clinical offering available within the practice. Well equipped practice with modern diagnostic equipment. The hospital operates a walk-in service Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, while the feline clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Team
The hospital has an established four-veterinarian team, including a Practice Owner, Lead Veterinarian and Associate Veterinarians, supported by an experienced Practice Manager, Veterinary Technicians and wider support team. The veterinary team brings experience across a range of General Practice disciplines, while the technical and administrative teams support the delivery of appointments, diagnostics, procedures and ongoing patient care. The combined hospital and feline-focused clinical environment provides the incoming Associate Veterinarian with access to an established support structure while maintaining responsibility for their own caseload.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
