Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital located in Gastonia, North Carolina, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their close-knit and collaborative team. The hospital provides care primarily for dogs and cats, with occasional pocket pets, and prides itself on delivering high-quality patient care in a warm, family-like atmosphere.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. The position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be involved in a wide range of medical and surgical cases, including routine spays and neuters, abdominal surgeries, mass removals, and eye and ear procedures. The role is well-suited for veterinarians at any stage of their career, with strong support available to help achieve individual professional goals.

This Fear-Free Certified hospital is equipped with digital x-ray, cold/therapy laser, IDEXX in-house diagnostics, complete dental equipment, and Cornerstone medical records. The team fosters a positive and healthy workplace culture, offering a supportive and upbeat environment for both staff and clients.

You will be joining the hospital as the second DVM, supported by a dedicated and friendly staff that enjoys team-building activities outside of work. The culture emphasizes collaboration and mentorship, making it an ideal environment for continued professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
