Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in Gainesville, Florida. They are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their long-established practice, which has served the community since 1974. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provides care ranging from general wellness through advanced medicine and urgent care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive patient care from diagnosis through treatment, including wellness and preventive medicine, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, urgent care, and surgical procedures such as anesthesia, spays and neuters, mass removals, and dental surgery. The role involves developing long-term relationships with clients and their pets, clearly communicating clinical findings and treatment plans, and collaborating with the wider veterinary team to deliver high-quality medicine. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates will be considered.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and follows established standards across surgery, patient care, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology. Services include wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures, and urgent care, with pet drop-off services available to support clinical workflow. The hospital has a 4.8-star Google rating and focuses on personalized care within a full-service veterinary environment. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital has five DVMs and a great tenured support team. Veterinarians work alongside a supportive paraprofessional team within a collaborative environment focused on high-quality medicine, teamwork, and positive hospital culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
