Introduction
Our client is a full-service companion animal hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats, with services ranging from routine wellness and preventative medicine to diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and illness and injury care. The practice is focused on high-quality medicine, autonomous clinical decision-making, and creating a collaborative environment centered around patient needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive patient care through physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of disease, preventative medicine, and individualized treatment planning. Responsibilities include developing diagnostic plans and differential diagnoses, interpreting test results, maintaining detailed medical records, and managing patients requiring day hospitalization or referral for overnight care. The veterinarian will perform routine and complex surgical procedures including canine and feline spays and neuters, mass removals, and abdominal exploratories, alongside dental examinations, dental radiograph interpretation, extractions, and oral surgery. Doctors also participate in clinical rounds and share their knowledge with the wider hospital team. The position requires a veterinarian who is comfortable performing anesthesia, routine surgery, and dentistry.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. The full-service hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, heated hydraulic surgery tables, in-house diagnostic technology, AI-supported radiograph interpretation, Doppler blood pressure monitoring, and digital cytology capabilities. Services include routine examinations and wellness care, vaccinations, microchipping, comprehensive bloodwork and disease screening, dentistry, nutritional and behavioral consultations, surgery, diagnostic imaging, sick and injury care, wound care, allergy and dermatological cases, and flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention and testing.

Team
The hospital has a collaborative clinical team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants, with additional medical leadership available to provide clinical guidance and support. Veterinarians have autonomy over individual patient care while working collegially to maintain consistent clinical standards. The support team is encouraged to expand its skills and develop areas of expertise such as dentistry and nutrition, with an emphasis on knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
