Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs, cats, and some ZooMed patients in Franklin, Tennessee, and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join the team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine and compassionate patient care. With a strong emphasis on professional development, collaboration, and building lasting relationships with local pet owners, the hospital offers a supportive working environment focused on clinical excellence and work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care, including routine examinations, preventive medicine, primary care, diagnostic imaging, and soft tissue surgery. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing and managing medical conditions, developing appropriate treatment plans, and providing ongoing care for patients with chronic conditions such as canine and feline diabetes. The role also involves opportunities to work with ZooMed patients, alongside providing client counselling, communicating clinical findings, and educating pet owners on preventive healthcare and treatment options. Veterinarians will work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team while maintaining high standards of patient care. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates will be considered, with dedicated mentorship available to support those at the beginning of their veterinary careers.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, including preventive care, primary care, advanced medical care, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, animal rehabilitation, cold laser therapy, and ZooMed animal care. Clinical facilities include modern surgical suites and diagnostic equipment such as digital radiography and a Tono-Pen for ophthalmic assessments. Additional services include canine and feline diabetes management and pet counselling. The hospital benefits from access to continuing education resources, professional development opportunities, and clinical support through a wider veterinary network. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
