Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary practice hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital is a small animal general practice providing comprehensive care for dogs and cats. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm and 2:30pm to 6:00pm, with the clinic closed on Saturday and Sunday. The position is full-time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining patients, diagnosing medical conditions, and delivering high-quality veterinary care. Clinical duties include wellness and preventative care, sick visits, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, vaccinations, prescribing medications, wound management, and client education. The role involves operating diagnostic equipment such as radiography and ultrasound and working collaboratively with the team to provide a high standard of patient care. The position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking mentorship.

Practice Details
The practice provides comprehensive small animal services in a well-equipped clinical environment. Facilities support wellness care, surgical procedures, dentistry, diagnostics, laboratory testing, urgent care, and end-of-life care. Equipment and services include digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, anesthesia and surgical monitoring, pharmacy services, boarding and daycare, microchipping, nutrition support, and dermatology and respiratory care. The hospital culture emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, professional development, and compassionate, high-quality medicine.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a collaborative and dedicated support staff. The working environment is team-oriented, mentorship-driven, and focused on maintaining a positive culture while delivering consistent, high-quality care to patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
