Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides veterinary care for cats and dogs and is looking for a veterinarian to join its established team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide a high standard of patient care, develop treatment plans tailored to individual patients, and build and maintain strong client relationships while working collaboratively with the wider veterinary team. Doctors typically see approximately 16 appointments per day, with 20-minute appointment times and a mixed caseload of appointments and surgery. Veterinarians are given medical autonomy in how they approach their cases. The typical full-time schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, although the hospital is open to discussing individual scheduling preferences and can offer flexibility around days and hours. There are no on-call, overnight, or urgent care requirements. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for those at the beginning of their careers.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and laser therapy. Equipment includes laser therapy, X-ray, ultrasound, urinalysis, and an in-house laboratory.

Team
You will work alongside an experienced DVM teamof 3 with more than five years of experience, supported by a fantastic team of support staff who work collaboratively to support the veterinarians. The hospital also works with a visiting orthopedic surgeon.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
