Job Description
Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on a part-time basis. Providing care for cats and dogs, the hospital has been serving its community for more than 20 years.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will focus on building lasting client relationships while practising high-quality medicine and incorporating routine surgery into your caseload. Doctors typically see approximately 16 appointments per day, with appointments scheduled for 20 minutes. The caseload includes preventative care, general medicine, and routine soft tissue surgery, with doctors given medical autonomy to practise medicine and surgery with the support of the wider team. This is a part-time opportunity working two days per week, with flexibility around which days and hours are worked. There are no on-call, overnight, or urgent care hours. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian for the position.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. The hospital is AAHA accredited and provides full-service veterinary care including wellness, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, advanced surgeries, and laser therapy. Diagnostic capabilities include in-house blood testing, urinalysis, X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory.
Team
The hospital has an experienced team of three DVMs alongside an excellent support team who work collaboratively with the doctors to provide high-quality patient care. Doctors benefit from a 2:1 technician-to-DVM ratio, including credentialed support staff. The team is highly collaborative and also works with a visiting orthopedic surgeon.
Candidate Requirements

- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
