Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing small animal practice. The clinic provides care for small animals and exotics and is a well-established, community-focused hospital offering progressive, personalized veterinary care within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday from 8:00am to 2:00pm with limited hours. The role can be full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering general medical, surgical, and dental care. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, performing procedures, and supporting preventative and wellness care. The role requires strong communication skills and collaboration with the wider team to provide high-quality patient care and client education. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and hands-on support available.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratory diagnostics, a modern surgical suite, Cone Beam CT, ultrasound, and advanced diagnostic tools. Services offered include wellness care, vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, microchipping, parasite prevention, urgent care, and care for exotics and pocket pets. Additional capabilities include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, reproductive procedures, OFA evaluations, and PennHip certification. The practice promotes a collaborative culture with a strong focus on mentorship, continuing education, and medical autonomy.

Team
The team consists of fifteen DVMs supported by an experienced and collaborative support staff, creating a mentoring-focused environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
