Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring an Equine Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. Having just celebrated its 50th anniversary this past year, the hospital provides care for cats, dogs, and equine patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established practice with a strong reputation and a collaborative team environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position involves undertaking the full scope of Equine GP responsibilities, including preventative care, diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, dentistry and client communication. Opportunities also exist to practice some small animal medicine in addition to equine work if that is of interest. The hospital offers flexible scheduling and is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is confident in equine practice and enjoys working within a collaborative team environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Equine emergency services are available 24 hours a day. Services include equine ambulatory services, the full scope of GP services for both equine and small animal patients, and 24/7 emergency care for equine patients. The practice is equipped with modern technology including, but not limited to, respiratory and gastric endoscopy, two D/R units, multiple power dental units including Terafloat, Versa Float, and Swiss Float systems, multiple ultrasound machines, ProStride, advanced dental tools, and an in-house laboratory. Facilities include a beautiful equine haul-in facility with a surgical suite and six stalls. Additional services include cryotherapy, acupuncture, and herbal medicine.

Team
You will be joining a team of 9 veterinarians, including 4 small animal veterinarians, 4 equine veterinarians amd a Medical Director. Five of the veterinarians have spent their entire careers with the practice, ranging from 4 to 24 years. The team is supported by dedicated and skilled support staff, including 4 LVTs, creating a collaborative environment with expertise across both small animal and equine medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
