Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This small animal practice provides comprehensive care for canine and feline patients and is committed to high-quality medicine in a collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. The role offers a consistent schedule with no overnight or after-hours responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The position involves providing full-spectrum veterinary care, including preventive medicine, wellness exams, and the diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury. Responsibilities include performing both routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratories, and mass removals, as well as comprehensive dental procedures including radiographic evaluations and extractions. The veterinarian will also develop treatment plans for hospitalized patients and coordinate transitions to overnight care or referral hospitals as needed. This role is open to candidates who are comfortable with anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry, with opportunities to expand clinical expertise in a supportive setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and digital radiography, ensuring advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Services offered include vaccinations, wellness care, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, illness and injury care, imaging, surgery, dentistry, and prescription medication. The practice is structured to prioritize patient needs while fostering teamwork and a supportive culture where both clinical excellence and client experience are valued.

Team
The veterinarian will be part of a skilled and collaborative team that includes paraprofessionals with expertise in areas such as dentistry and nutrition. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
