Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. This is a small animal general practice providing comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals, with a clinical focus on preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, and advanced medical services. The position is full-time and based in Fishers, Indiana.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. This role is offered on a full-time basis and specific scheduling is flexible and open to discussion.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality patient care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, pain management, and soft tissue surgical procedures. The role involves clear client communication, collaborative case management, and active participation in a supportive team environment.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services supported by advanced diagnostic capabilities. Equipment and diagnostics include in-house laboratory testing, digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG, tonometry, and anesthetic monitoring. Services span wellness and prevention, advanced care, soft tissue surgery, dental surgery, orthopedics, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, endocrinology, pain management, behavioral counseling, and hospice care. The practice emphasizes compassionate, comprehensive care within a mission-driven and collaborative culture.
Team
The veterinary team consists of five DVMs supported by a dedicated clinical and support staff. The environment is described as collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong focus on communication, shared learning, and delivering consistent, high-quality care to patients and clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
